Part of a Settlement Cluster (CL009-075005-) in level pasture immediately NW of Carran Church (CL009-075001-) and Graveyard (CL009-075002-) overlooking the Poulacarran Valley to the E. One of six houses (CL009-075006- to CL009-075011-), it lies to N of centre in the settlement. This rectangular structure (int. dims. c. 6.6m E-W; 2.25m N-S; ext. dims. 7.8m E-W; 4.45m N-S) is defined by a double-faced stone wall (Wth c. 0.7m; H c. 0.2-0.5m). The S wall is overlain by a modern drystone boundary wall forming the N side of a farm lane immediately to the S. There is a gap (Wth 2.2m) in the N wall, 1.75m from its W end. To the N of the house, a small platform (7m N-S; c. 6m E-W) defined by low scarps on the N and E, and a low bank on the W may have been a garden. There is another house (CL009-075009-) c. 7.5m to the SE, and another (CL009-075007-) c. 15m to the N.
