Abutting the NE exterior of a cashel (CL009-059105-). This irregular polygonal enclosure (c. 21m WNW-ESE; c. 17.5m NNE-SSW) is defined by relatively straight walls (Wth c. 1m; H 0.5m) with rounded corners. These walls are constructed from sod-covered with stone, and are attached to the cashel wall which forms the SW wall of the enclosure. The enclosure’s S wall appears to have been constructed in such a way so as to avoid obstructing the cashel entrance immediately to S, which suggests that the enclosure was probably contemporary with the use of the cashel.
