Following a description of Caherballykinvarga (CL009-059012-) Westropp (1915, 262) noted 'In the next field to the south is the unmarked foundation of a ring wall, 87 feet [26.5m] over all, with an outer facing of large blocks; all the rest of the stonework has been removed'. It was also marked on a set of maps annotated by Westropp (SMR file). On inspection in 1997 the field was found to have been reclaimed and there was no trace of an enclosure at ground level.
