On a high point covered by hazel wood, at the edge of a shelf overlooking the Poulacarran and Eanty valleys from SW to NE; the land slopes steeply immediately to the NW. Hachured on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This low overgrown subcircular cairn (11.4m NE–SW; 9.4m NW–SE; H 0.2–0.5m) has a relatively flat top (11.4m NE–SW; 8.9m NW–SE) and is fairly straight edged at NE, SE and SW but is scarped at NW. It is constructed of generally quite large stones; no kerbstones are visible. It is surrounded by a berm (Wth 1.8–2.8m), outside of which the townland wall (H 1.2m), between Poulacarran and Cahermackirilla townlands, circumvents it from S and NW. Another drystone wall (max. H 0.8m) avoids it between NE and S.
