On level ground at the N edge of a plateau and within a multiperiod field system (CL009-021001-), with land falling away to the N into an E–W ravine. Depicted as a field boundary curving from SW through N to SE on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map; a sheepfold is shown against the inner wall-face at NW on the 25-inch plan. This circular cashel (ext. diam. 27.8m) is defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 1.8–2.3m). One or two courses of the horizontally laid stones of the outer wall-face (H 0.2-0.6m) are visible all around; the inner face is flush with the interior. A later drystone wall (H 1-1.6m) has been built on the line of outer wall-face. An enclosure (CL009-021048-) lies immediately to the SW and there is another one (CL009-021004-) c. 84m to the SSW.
