Within a large field of coarse pasture and limestone outcrop, within a relict field system (CL009-004001-) and a larger multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). Hachured on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. This circular cashel (diam. 23m) is defined from ENE-NW by a well-preserved wall (ext. H 1.2m; Wth 1.8m) around which an outer skin (H 0.8m) was added. The latter is best preserved at S where it survives from two to three courses high. From NW-NE the wall is reduced to a low bank of rubble (H 0.25-0.3m; Wth 3m). A dip in this at NE may mark the site of the entrance. The interior is raised c. 0.8m above the outer ground level and slopes gently to the S. There is another cashel (CL008-004002-) c. 86m to the NW, and another (CL008-004004-) c. 92m to the ESE.
