What is recorded here

On low-lying ground that slopes gently down to N from where there is a wide view across the valley. A circular cairn (diam. 7.8m; H 1.7m) with a conical top on which stands an upright slab. This is the most westerly of an E–W line of four penitential cairns (see also CL006-140002-, CL006-140003- and CL006-140004-) 11–13m apart, with a fifth cairn offset to the south, c. 90m distant. These likely mark a route to and are associated with the penitential stations c. 400m WSW in Termon townland (CL010-026002- to CL010-026009-) surrounding the well (CL010-026001-) named ‘Tobernafiaghanta’ on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map.
