At W leading edge of a wide gently sloping terrace of bare rock and rough patchy grazing and within an enclosure (CL006-207----). The ground falls away more steeply to the W of the site and Coskeam Fort (CL006-062----) is visible c. 400m to NE. A ravine, c. 100m to the W, which sometimes contains water is known as Poulaloughan. Listed as ‘Earthwork’ in the SMR (1992) and as ‘Barrow’ in the RMP (1996) and hachured on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A poorly preserved circular enclosure (int. dims. 6.3m NW–SE; 6.1m NE–SW) defined by a moss- and grass-covered stone spread (Wth 3.5–4.3m; H 0.1–0.5m) with a short horizontally coursed section of walling at S composed of thin flat flags and a slightly raised platform like area (diam. 3m; H 0.2m) in its centre.
