On a terrace on the S slopes of Gortaclare Mountain. Depicted as one of two enclosures on a plan of the area (Eogan 2002, 115). Some mound walls are adjacent to the S and the area is part of an extensive field system (CL006-0042001-). Described by Carey (2009, 132) as an enclosure (5m N-S; 7m E-W) defined by a ring of limestone boulders. The second enclosure (CL006-045008-) is 35m to the NE.
