What is recorded here

At the foot of a NW-SE limestone terrace. Described by Carey (2009, 131) as an subcircular area (c. 5m N-S) defined by two short sections of walling protruding from a clump of hazel growth. The full extent cannot be ascertained as the E portion is within the hazel scrub. The walls are formed of uprights (H 0.75m; Wth 1m) the tops of which protrude above the sod. The ground to the W is marshy during wet weather. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 14 September 2021
