On a terrace at the foot of a low S-facing ridge on Gortaclare Mountain, in an area of rough patchy grazing and bare rock pavement. A subcircular hut site (ext. diam. 6.5m N-S; 5m E-W) defined by a mixture of flags set on edge and flags on the flat. The interior is filled with stone. A second hut site (CL006-042021-) lies c. 10m to the NE and two animal pens are adjacent to N and NE. The hut sites lie within an extensive and multiperiod field system (CL006-0420001-) and a wedge tomb (CL006-042009-) lies c. 60m to SE.
