In limestone pavement on the S-facing upper terraces of Cappanawalla hill. One of two cairns placed along the line of the enclosing bank of hillfort (CL002-076001-). This cairn (c. 7.5m N-S; c. 7m E-W) is placed slightly to the S of the line of the hillfort bank. Detailed topographic survey of the monument by Grant (2008, 79) determined that the bank material stops short of the cairn, but an obvious limestone pedestal continues along the line of the banks, implying that the bank was originally continuous and that its material was reused to construct the cairn at a later date, interrupting the line of the bank but leaving behind a limestone pedestal. A second cairn (CL002-076002-) is placed along the line of the hillfort bank c. 350m to the E.
