What is recorded here

On a ridge in rocky scrub beside a spring well and within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL009-227004-). Noted by Tom Coffey c. 1994 (SMR file). A fulacht fia comprising a low horseshoe-shaped grass-covered mound (5.2m NW-SE; 6.8m NNE-SSW; H 0.6-0.8m) opening (L 2m; Wth 1.2m; D 0.4m) to NW where a temporary stream flows. Some large stones are visible around its edge to the S. A second fulacht fia (CL005-190----) is located c. 5m to the NW on the far side of the stream.    Compiled by: Mary Tunney and Eve Campbell   Date of upload: 14 October 2025
