On a SE-facing slope in elevated rocky pasture with commanding views from NE to S, and within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL005-160001-). Hachured on the 1840 OS 6-inch map and indicated as an enclosure on the 1916 edition. An almost square cashel (24.5m N-S; 23.5m E-W) defined by a battered drystone wall (Wth 1.4-1.5m) composed of horizontally laid slabs with larger stone blocks in the foundation course. The outer wall-facing survives on all sides (H 0.4-2.6m), while the inner facing survives intermittently (max. H 1.2m). The corners are rounded. There are suggestions of a terrace in the W wall (Wth 0.4m; H 0.6m). The interior is flat and grass-covered, but concentrations of rubble in the NW and SW corners may represent the collapsed remains of internal structures. Low co-axial slab walls extend from all four sides of the monument.
