In elevated rocky pasture on a SW-facing slope with clear views from S to N and within a multiperiod field system (CL005-227004-). Indicated as an enclosure on the 1839 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. Listed as ‘Rectangular enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). Noted by Westropp, who described it as ‘probably a mediæval bawn’ (1899, 379). A subrectangular or trapezoidal cashel (36m NE-SW; 30m NW-SE) defined by partially collapsed stone walls (Wth 1-1.7m), concealed in places by scrub. Inner (max. H 1.5m) and outer (max. H 1.7m) wall-facing survives intermittently. A partially faced gap (Wth 0.6m) which is located near the S end of the SE wall may be the original entrance. Further gaps are found near the centre of the NE wall (Wth 1.8m) and the near centre of NW wall, the former being blocked up. The interior contains no visible features. Field walls extend from the N, E and S corners of the monument. An enclosure (CL005-151----) is located c. 95m to the N.
