On the SW edge of a prominent elevated area overlooking a deep ravine to the SW within a multiperiod field system (CL005-104001-) and at the juncture of three townlands Gleninsheen, Aillwee and Boloona. Listed as ‘Potential Site Air Photo’ in the RMP (1996). A ring-barrow (diam. c. 31m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-4m; H 0.3-1m) with traces of an internal fosse from ENE-SE and along the S and W (Wth 6m; max. D 0.9m), visible on OSi MapGenie aerial photographs (2012-2018). Walls built on its W and S banks serve as the townland boundaries with Ailwee and Boloona.
