What is recorded here

On an elevated ridge of rough grazing with higher ground to the E covered in peat. Within a multiperiod field system (CL005-014001-). Hachured and named ‘Lislarheenmore’ on the 1842 and 1916 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). A roughly circular rath (overall dims. 37.5m NE-SW; 34.4m NW-SE) defined by a bank of earth and stone along SW (Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.7m) and by a scarp (H 0.8-1.2m) elsewhere. A fosse (Wth 2-3.4m), marked by rushes, encircles the rath throughout. Gaps at NE and SE may be modern cattle gaps or original entrances.
