What is recorded here

On a level terrace - at the juncture between improved pasture to the E and rough grazing to the W - on the W side of the Caher valley, within a large multiperiod field system (CL004-016001-). A large enclosure, c. 85m E-W defined by a partially grassed over wall from WSW to ESE, best visible on Digital Globe and noted by Ros Ó Maoldúin. The S portion has been cleared. Within the enclosure there is a square cashel (CL005-063----), and the foundations of two houses (CL005-063002- and CL005-063003-). Foundations of a possibly later house (depicted as roofed on the OS 1st ed. 6-inch map) overlie the perimeter at NW. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 27 September 2022
