What is recorded here

Situated in a slight natural hollow in a very rocky area with restricted visibility. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). On inspection this was found to be an irregular enclosure (diam. c. 55m) defined by a loosely built drystone wall of apparently modern construction. The wall has been removed along the W sector. A smaller enclosure overlapping this one at S also appears to be of modern construction. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 19 January 2016

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
