In a hollow on high ground within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL004-016001-). Overlooked by higher ground to the S. Named ‘Toberanahircallough’ on the 1915 OS 6-inch map.
A holy well with an opening (c. 2m x 0.8m) to the SW. An underground stream (D 1.4-1.8m) flows through the well from E to W. Much of the roof, walls and floor of the well are natural but it may have been built up at the S. It is accessed by steps at SW and was still in use on field inspection in 1998. A modern circular pillar with a concrete cross stands to the NE and three irregular limestone slabs have been erected to the N.
