In a field immediately N of Aughinish Church (CL003-010----). According to Blake (1917-18, 137-8) ‘At about 50 yds. NE. from the church are the foundations of a double cloghaun with a creep-hole connecting the rooms. Each is circular and of about 8 ft in diameter.’ The reference also stated that a ruined building of ‘uncertain age’ lay a few yards to the S. A feature visible on OSi MapGenie (2013-2018) at ITM 527790,712836 may indicated the remains of this conjoined structure. A possible hut site (CL003-010005-) was noted by Elaine Lynch c. 25m to the S during scrub clearance in 2024. Further study is ongoing in this general area.
