Listed as ‘Cleits’ in the RMP (1996). A large number of cleits (turf stands) were noted in this area on wide gently sloping terraces of rough grazing. They are very numerous with about 40-50 visible on the hilltop (on Bing aerial photography http://binged.it/1P6Abo3; accessed 12 January 2016)and several more on the slopes. They are long, narrow, rectangular, stone structures with some evidence of corbelling.
