Situated on a gentle N-facing slope in an area of rough grazing and outcropping rock. Listed as ‘Potential site – aerial photo’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A possible enclosure was visible on an Air Corps aerial photograph (V 231 N 110). On inspection in 1997 this was found to be a disused roughly circular field (diam. c. 30m) defined by a single wall of large blocks set on edge. This is likely to be post-AD 1700.
