On the W slopes of Black head. A fulacht fia (c. 16m N-S; 4.5m E-W; H up to 1.4m) consisting of a curving bank of burnt stone covered by a mantle of sod. Burnt stone is visible where cattle have torn the sod exposing the shattered stone. A spring issues from the base of the hill 4m from the likely location of the trough. A number of bushes are growing on the mound and a farm track is located a short distance to the N. This monument was reported to the National Monuments Service by Michael Gibbons.
