At the base of the W-facing slope of Black Head, on a slight S-facing slope c. 250m E of the seashore. A D-shaped mound (13.4m N–S; 13.6m E–W; H 0.6m–0.8m) of stone and black clay, with its straight side to the E, 2m from a cliff edge (H c.1.5m). It is flat topped except on its western edge where it rises slightly (Wth c.0.2m; H c.0.2m). Its D-shape may partially be the result of interference associated with the adjacent 18th/19th-century farmstead, and large stones around its perimeter may have been placed in an effort to contain it during that same phase of activity.
