What is recorded here

On low lying improved pasture c. 150m E of sand-dunes and 0.8km E of the sea. Indicated and named ‘Killamurroogh Graveyard’ on the 1840 and 1915 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. A roughly rectangular area (c. 40m ENE-WSW; c. 30m NNW-SSE) defined along its SE side by a modern field wall, along its NE and NW sides by field clearance material and by a low scarp along its SW side. The interior is overgrown and uneven underfoot. There are no obvious grave markers and no church is visible. The site is known locally as a children’s burial ground, marked as such on Robinson’s map (1977) and is listed as a ‘church site and burial ground’ by Swan (1991, 114-15).
