Gateway to former convent, erected c.1870, comprising Tudor arch set within boundary wall. Granite coping to parapet, stepped to centre, carved granite cross finial. Lined-and-ruled rendered wall to front (east) elevation, red brick wall, laid in Flemish bond, to rear (west) elevation. Square-headed blind recesses to both elevations, moulded reveals. Carved chamfered granite surround to arch, double-leaf wrought-iron gate. Pointed-headed opening to north of arch, set within square-headed recess, moulded architrave surround and pedestrian wrought-iron gate.
