Terraced two-bay three-storey over basement former house, built 1825, having shopfront to front (north) elevation added c.1905 and two-storey extension, built c.1950, to rear (south) elevation. Now in use as part of college. Flat roof concealed behind rebuilt red brick parapet with granite coping, red brick chimneystack. Red brick, laid in Flemish bond, to wall, having yellow brick laid in English garden wall bond, to rear wall. Square-headed window openings with granite sills having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows and replacement timber framed windows. Faience shopfront comprising Doric columns with fluted capitals, moulded console brackets, tiled and painted fascia and dentillated cornice, having numerals in relief and marigold detailing. Square-headed door opening with fixed-pane timber framed overlight on dentillated cornice over half-glazed timber panelled door having Doric column detail. Display window opening blocked. Apparently retaining original layout to interior with original plasterwork and joinery. Street fronted to south of Pearse Street.
