Canal lock on former Ulster Canal, built c.1840. Sluice gates absent and lock no longer in use. Cut stone to base of canal to west, openings for ground sluices to side walls, with tooled stone to sill. Coursed, peck-dressed limestone and sandstone walls with tooled copings, and lock gate emplacements visible to each end. Recesses to tail-gate emplacements to west, to accommodate open sluice gates. Stop-grooves to each side wall to west of tail-gate emplacements. Curved walls to west of lock visible.
