Detached three-bay two-storey over basement house, built c.1810, having return and lean-to two-storey extension to rear (north-east) elevation. Hipped slate roof with dressed sandstone chimneystacks. Clay ridge-tiles, overhanging eaves having paired timber eaves brackets to front and portions of rear elevation, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Harl-rendered walls, with render plinth course. Square-headed window openings having render reveals, painted masonry sills and timber sliding sash windows, two-over-two pane to front and south-west elevation, six-over-six pane and three-over-six pane to rear and north-east elevation, and some replacement uPVC windows elsewhere. Segmental-headed window opening with tripartite timber sliding sash window at basement level to north-east elevation, having four-over-four pane lights. Segmental-headed window openings, with bipartite timber sliding sash windows at basement level to front with cast-iron bars, and bipartite timber sliding sash window to rear, with double six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed window opening having timber frame window at ground floor level to north-east elevation. Three-centred-arch door opening to front, with render reveal and timber doorcase comprising fluted Ionic columns supporting moulded lintel cornice and spoked fanlight, half-glazed timber panelled door, opening onto stone platform with cast-iron boot-scrapers. Square-headed glazed timber door to rear, opening onto stone step. Yard to rear with L-plan two-storey outbuilding, having pitched corrugated-iron roof with red brick chimneystack. Coursed rubble stone walls having cut-stone block-and-start quoins, square-headed window openings to first floor with timber louvered vents, gauged masonry segmental arches to ground floor, and gauged-masonry square-headed door openings to ground floor having timber battened doors. Coursed rubble stone boundary walls enclosing remainder of yard area, having base batter at openings with enlarged rubble stone quoins. Truncated segmental-headed pedestrian arch openings at junction with house, having dressed stone voussoirs.
