Detached T-plan two-storey house, built c.1878 and remodelled c.1919, having L-plan front block with three-bay front and northwest side elevations, and three-bay two-storey return to rear with attic. Northwest end of front elevation projects forward and has full-height canted bay to its northwest side. Single-storey outbuildings attached to gable end of return. Open veranda to recessed bays of front elevation, wrapping partly around southeast gable end of front block, supported on decorative cast-iron columns. Hipped and pitched slate roofs with stepped-profile rendered chimneystacks. Detailed timber boxed eaves supported on decorative eaves brackets. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls with raised rendered plinth and having moulded string course to first floor window-head level. String and sill courses to canted bay. Round-headed doorway under veranda, with raised decorative render surround and decorative timber panelled double-leaf door with geometric fanlight, approached by three steps. Square-headed window openings with raised smooth-render surrounds, two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows to front block, apart from one six-over-six pane to northwest elevation; six-over-six pane and some timber casements to return. Southeast side elevation of front block has round-headed stairs window. Series of single-storey outbuildings with pitched corrugated-iron roofs, rubble stone and rendered walls, and timber battened doors and timber sliding sash windows. Rubble stone wall with square-plan piers enclosing yard to rear of house. Set in mature grounds on private lane off public road. Square-plan stone piers to road entrance, with render caps and ball finials, flanked by rubble stone boundary wall. Ancillary buildings and outbuildings to southwest. Former main entrance and gate lodge to southeast.
