Detached six-bay single-storey former railway station, built c.1885, having recent extensions to west and south-west, now in use as community centre. Pitched slate roof, decorative clay ridge tiles with trefoil motifs, rendered chimneys with decorative clay pots, recent pressed metal rainwater goods. Projecting canopy of recent vertical timber boarding above entrance. Red-brick walls with grey string courses at window heads and sills, yellow bevelled brick above red-brick plinth, slightly advance entrance bay recently rebuilt. Segmental-arched replacement windows to road elevation with rounded jambs, banded vitrified and yellow brick voussoirs, yellow-brick hoods and stone sills. One surviving two-over-two timber sash window to former platform elevation, other openings now filled in with brick, some brick hoods remaining.
