Freestanding limestone memorial statue of Bartholmew Teeling standing on limestone obelisk, erected 1898. Tooled ashlar stonework to obelisk, margin-drafted at corners, gabled aedicules projecting from each face with concave-moulded verges and round-headed niches with chamfered margins, moulded cornice cap on which statue stands. Niche to north has commemorative incised inscription reading 'To the memory of Bartholomew Teeling and the valiant Irish and French soldiers who fought here for dear old Ireland. It is located prominently on the way into Collooney from the north.
