Four-bay single-storey gate lodge, built c.1820, adjoining arched entrance into demesne. No longer in use. Central pointed-arched entrance flanked by single-storey wings. Roof to wings removed, roughly soldiered coping to parapet. Central block of dressed ashlar limestone with string course and corbels to parapet of roughly finished soldier coping of limestone. Random coursed limestone wings with dressed quoins. Square-headed and pointed-arched window openings with stone sills. Flagged floor to south wing. Lodge is situated to western edge of Rockingham Demesne, facing Abbeytown. Lodge once allowed traffic from Abbeytown and Boyle into estate.
