Attached three-bay two-storey house with half-dormer attic, built 1823, on a rectangular plan; three-bay full-height rear (south) elevation. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks having stepped capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered cut-limestone eaves retaining cast-iron downpipes. Rendered, ruled and lined walls on rendered plinth with rusticated rendered quoins to ends. Segmental-headed central door opening with tooled cut-limestone threshold, and drag edged dragged cut-limestone surround centred on keystone framing timber panelled door having fanlight. Square-headed window openings with drag edged dragged cut-limestone sills, and concealed dressings framing six-over-six or three-over-three (half-dormer attic) timber sash windows having part exposed sash boxes with six-over-six (ground floor) or two-over-two (upper floors) timber sash windows to rear (south) elevation centred on two-over-two timber sash windows (half-landings). Interior including (ground floor): central hall retaining carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors; dining room (east) retaining carved timber surround to door opening framing timber panelled door with carved timber surround to window opening framing timber panelled shutters, Classical-style chimneypiece, and cornice to ceiling; drawing room (west) retaining carved timber surround to door opening framing timber panelled door with carved timber surround to window opening framing timber panelled shutters, Classical-style chimneypiece, and cornice to ceiling; and (upper floors): carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors with carved timber surrounds to window openings framing timber panelled shutters. Street fronted with cast-iron railings to perimeter centred on cast-iron gate.
