Detached three-bay single-storey former railway station, built c.1870 as part of the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway, with two-bay two-storey extension to west. Pitched slate roof with ashlar chimneystacks, cast-iron rainwater goods, decorative bargeboards and a finial. Snecked stone walls and tooled quoins. Segmental-headed window openings with tooled sandstone surrounds and sills and timber sash windows. Segmental-headed door opening with tooled sandstone surround and timber door with iron door furniture. Stone former platform to north. Corrugated-iron former 'Customs and Excise' office on platform to east of former station.
