Freestanding limekiln, erected c.1860, comprising square-plan structure with vertical faces of coursed rubble limestone. Limestone retaining arch to seaward side having rubble voussoirs with wrought-iron lintel below and raking-out hole framed by iron and brickwork. Kiln set into slope to facilitate loading of crushed limestone.
