What is recorded here

Detached four-bay two-storey school house, dated 1936, now disused. Pitched natural slate roof with steel roof vent to middle of ridge, brick chimneybreast to central rear bay, limestone copings to gables, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls with projecting limestone plinth. Square-headed six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows to front, with tooled limestone sills, openings to rear elevation blocked up with cement block and corrugated plastic. Square-headed timber sheeted door to north end of front elevation, having carved stone plaque above reading 'Scoil Naomh Ruadháin, Scoil Náisiúnta 1936'. Double-leaf steel door to east of front elevation, possible covering smaller doorway. Set back from road, gardens to rear, dwelling and yard to north separated from schoolhouse by random rubble limestone boundary wall with hedge behind.
