Detached single-storey railway station, built c.1860, having five-bay front elevation and eight-bay trackside elevation, with projecting entrance porch to south-west, canopy to platform, and single-storey extension to south-east. Now disused. Pitched slate roof with overhanging eaves having timber soffits, red brick chimneystacks, and replacement aluminium rainwater goods. Timber bargeboards to projecting porch gable. Corrugated-iron roof to canopy, supported on six round-plan cast-iron columns, with timber rafters having scrolled ends. Rusticated ashlar stone plinth with hammered finish, draughted and hammered stone quoins to front. Flat roof and squared and snecked stone to south-east extension. Square-headed window openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows with stone sills. Timber sheeted entrance door with battened overdoor, and four-panel timber door to rear. Flagstone flooring to canopy, with stone edging to platform. Entrance elevation flanked by random rubble stone walls with flat stone copings to north-west and south-east. Railway tracks to rear. Two-bay two-storey signal box having slate roof and red brick walls to south-east.
