Gateway, extant 1841, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of lichen-spotted limestone ashlar panelled piers on banded plinths having "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed cornices below lichen-covered shallow pyramidal capping supporting spear head-detailed wrought iron double gates with lichen-spotted limestone ashlar outer piers on benchmark-inscribed banded plinths having "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed cornices below lichen-covered shallow pyramidal capping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Cappagh House.
