What is recorded here

Freestanding single-bay two-stage lighthouse, built 1858, on a circular plan. Limewashed tuck pointed granite ashlar battered walls on cut-granite chamfered plinth with cantilevered walkway on "Cavetto"-detailed beaded corbels supporting cast iron railings centred on lantern on granite ashlar battered base. Square-headed door opening with cut-granite step threshold, and "bas-relief" block-and-start surround framing timber panelled door. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and "bas-relief" block-and-start surrounds framing eight-over-eight timber sash windows. Interior retaining cut-granite spiral staircase with wrought iron balusters supporting wrought iron banister. Set on headland.
