Freestanding red brick chimney, c.1890, on single-bay two-storey plinth with entire composition on a polygonal plan. Now disused. Painted red brick Running bond walls to plinth with chamfer to first stage, and cut-stone coping over. Red brick Running bond walls to base to chimney with moulded coping, and red brick tapered shaft over having series of stringcourses. Square-headed door opening to first stage to plinth with painted red brick relieving arch over. Fittings now gone. Round-headed window openings to first stage with oculus window openings to top stage having red brick dressings. Fittings now gone. Set back from road in grounds shared with Portlaw Cotton Factory having overgrown grounds to site.
