Detached three-bay two-storey RIC barracks, built c.1845. Now in use as house. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystack. Two-storey guardhouse projection to southeast corner with mono-pitch roof, battered walls and having loops. Possible original second guardhouse at northwest corner extended and has cat-slide roof and recent hipped extension to northwest. Coursed rubble sandstone to southeast gable and to guardhouse, rendered walls to remaining elevations. Painted moulded architrave to entrance doorway with timber panelled door. Square-headed openings with replacement uPVC windows. Rubble stone outbuildings forming courtyard. Square-plan piers to vehicular and pedestrian entrance gates.
