Detached three-bay single-storey RIC barracks with basement and attic, built c.1800. Gabled porch to front carried on arched possible former millrace and has carved timber bargeboards and finial and cast-iron cresting. Lean-to extension to rear and with remains of lean-to structure to northwest gable. Pitched slate roof with central rendered chimneystacks. Roughcast rendered wall to front, smooth rendered elsewhere. Timber sliding sash one-over-one pane windows, doubled to front elevation, with stone sills. Double-leaf timber panelled front door. Walls of single-storey lean-to to northwest gable, now roofless.
