Detached three-bay single-storey over basement toll house, built 1842-3, with central porch. Hipped slate roof with cut-stone chimneystack and brackets to eaves. Limestone ashlar walls with cut-limestone band framing top and ends of façade and with decorative pediment to porch. Square-headed window openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows and cut-stone sills. Square-headed door opening with replacement glazed timber door. Located at centre of Portumna Bridge.
