Detached five-bay two-storey prison, built c. 1810, now in poor condition. Pitched natural slate roof with concrete barging to party walls, red brick chimneystack, cast-iron rainwater goods and having limestone ashlar at eaves course. Nap rendered walls. Timber sliding sash windows with cast-iron grilles and stone sills. Timber panelled door with ashlar limestone surround. Segmental-arched openings with cast-iron grilles. Loop openings with ashlar limestone surrounds. Roger Casement reputedly held here.
