Mount Bernard — CARHOON EAST

Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, having single-storey extension to rear (north), recent single-storey extension to side (west). Hipped slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks and rendered eaves courses and uPVC rainwater goods throughout. Roughcast rendered wall to front (south) and side (east) elevations of main block, with rendered banding to corners and chamfered rendered plinth. Rendered wall to rear and side (west) elevations of main block and to rear extension, with recessed rendered plinth-band. Camber-headed window openings with rendered stone sills and raised rendered reveals to front and side (east) elevations of main block. Eight-over-eight pane timber sliding sash windows to front elevation. Six-over-six pane timber sliding sash window to ground floor of side (east) elevation. Square-headed window openings with concrete and stone sills, and rendered reveals to rear and side (west) elevations of main block and rear extension, having uPVC casement windows. Round-headed stairwell window opening with stone sill, rendered reveals and flushed surrounds to rear elevation of main block, having uPVC casement window. Round-headed door opening with ashlar limestone threshold to front elevation of main block, having moulded rendered surround with ashlar limestone plinth-blocks and hood-moulding with moulded label-stops. Replacement double-leaf glazed timber doors with replacement sunburst fanlight, with limestone stepped approach. Square-headed door opening with rendered reveals to front (west) elevation of rear extension, having glazed timber door. Concrete yard to north having single-storey, single-storey with attic and two-storey outbuildings to west and east sides and to north-west. Pitched slate, artificial slate and corrugated-iron roofs, having rubble stone walls throughout.
