Detached three-bay single-storey school, dated 1884, with gabled projection to front (north) elevation and recent full-length pitched-roofed block forming double-pile to rear (south). Pitched artificial slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods and decorative red brick and rendered chimneystacks. Red brick walls with red brick string courses and plinth. Yellow brick string course to gabled projection. Circular recesses with yellow brick surrounds to gables. Carved limestone date plaque to gabled projection with yellow brick surround. Rendered walls to rear (south) block and to east. Square-headed openings with decorative red and yellow brick surrounds and timber windows. Triple square-headed openings to east and west gables of north block, those to east with decorative yellow brick block-and-start surrounds and yellow and red brick voussoirs and timber windows. Square-headed openings to gabled projection with yellow brick voussoirs and recent timber doors. Dressed and tooled limestone piers to entrance having dressed caps and metal gates.
