Freestanding gable-fronted T-plan Roman Catholic church, built c. 1835, facing west, having two-bay nave, single-bay transepts and lean-to sacristy to south end of east elevation. Pitched slate roof with cast-iron cross finial to gable-front. Single-pitched artificial slate roof to extension. Rendered walls, painted and with plinth course except for east elevation. Pointed arch window openings, having render surrounds to all except for east elevation, with replacement uPVC windows. Tudor-arch window opening to upper gable-front. Square-headed entrance door openings to gables, with render surrounds and replacement timber doors, having holy water stoups to one side. Interior has timber panelled galleries to entrance end and to transepts, supported on painted round-profile columns. Carved timber pilasters flank stained-glass windows to altar area. Timber A-framed ceiling, elaborated to crossing with chamfered timber support columns. Elaborate tombstone to west of church. Bellstand to site with bell. Square-profile painted rendered piers with cross motifs and ornate caps having double-leaf cast-iron gates, set to coursed sandstone boundary walls with painted render copings.
