Former railway station, built c. 1860, comprising stationmaster's house, goods shed and signal box, all now in domestic use. Detached L-plan three-bay single-storey former stationmaster's house, having entrance block to angle of 'L', and lean-to addition to rear, latter partly using stone boundary wall, and recent extensions to south and west. Hipped slate roof with projecting eaves supported by carved timber brackets, rendered chimneystack. Smooth rendered walls with render plinth. Segmental-headed window openings and recent square-headed doorway, all with replacement uPVC fittings. Walled yard to rear. Detached former goods shed to east. Pitched slate roof overhanging to north side to form canopy with timber brackets supported on stone corbels. Coursed rubble limestone walls with rock-faced quoins. Segmental-headed window openings to upper gables, having replacement uPVC windows. Square-headed vehicular entrances to lower gables, with timber lintels and relieving arches, having recent windows inserted. Pair of square-headed vehicular entrances to north elevation, with timber lintels, set under canopy and with recent windows inserted. Detached former signal box to site set on south side of former track, having steeply pitched corrugated-iron roof, timber clapboard walls set on stone plinth, and square-headed fixed timber ribbon window. Single-storey former station to west having hipped slate roof with bracketed eaves. Rubble stone boundary wall with dressed stone gate piers to station yard with wrought-iron farm gate.
